    A multi-headed venomous water snake that wreaked havoc near an ancient city, his obnoxious venom poisoned the water and air. The numerous heads of Kaliya are said to symbolize our greed. When one desire gets fulfilled, another arises.

    About this Collection

    This print is part of a 12 part series called Forbidden Forest: an exhibition celebrating the art of storytelling through a series of illustrations of ancient South Asian mythological creatures. Forbidden Forest was launched at the DesignTO 2019 Festival and was awarded the Juror’s Choice Award and People’s Choice Award for Favourite Exhibition.
