This compendium is a complement to Kings of India Playing Cards, a luxurious deck of cards featuring the legacies of four of the most renowned dynasties of India.
Each suit is dedicated to a dynasty. These dynasties were selected based on their contributions to culture and the arts and sciences, their stable governance, religious tolerance and expansive territory. From ancient weapons to eccentric mustaches, the illustrations are based on research sourced from books, architectural motifs, artifacts, and lore. The Courts
The court cards depict the most legendary Kings and Queens of the Maurya, Gupta, Chola & Mughal dynasties. The first or second successor to the throne (who in some cases became more renowned than the King) is featured as the Jack.
